Ramanujan - a life of genius

'Dreamt and its there' is not always possible for normal person without ample efforts. But story is different for Ramanujan, a self taught mathematician, who in his 32 years of life span on this earth has gifted his dreams to whole world who never shied of making effort of any extent. It was a moment of surprise for Prof G.H.Hardy of Cambridge University when he received a letter of formulas from a Indian clerk from Madras. What was peculiar about these formulas was that there was no proof. He tried to solve some of them but as said Hardy himself described " for most of them he remained defeated." He understood that this must be a work of a mathematician of higher class.
Ramanujan was not just a mathematician of higher class but a maths wizard. Once introduced to the subject when he was 10, never stopped. he started solving trigonometric equations at age of 12, cubic equations at 14 and even devised his own formula for solving quartic equations. He was so focused in maths that he failed in any other subject. Failed in college for two consequent years, he left college without degree and started his independent research in mathematics in which he excelled. His life was not at all so simple as it appeared but it was curvy one with lot of roadblocks. there was also an incident when he ran away from his home after some misunderstanding with his family. He was married a very early age and took a job in Port Trust Office, Madras. But he always fostered his curiosity for various aspects of mathematics. Ramanujan credited most of his ideas were told to him by family goddess, Namagiri of Namakkal who came in his dreams. He often said, “An equation for me has no meaning, unless it represents a thought of God“. This mathematician's insight  and how these flashes of insight results in a panorama of wonderful work, will always remain a mystery.
He went to Cambridge as invited by Prof Hardy. Ramanujan knew that he a  world of excellent people. they worked together which lead to formation of famous Hardy - Ramanujan collaboration. They published many papers. Hardy was impressed by the intellectual curiosity and fascinating techniques of the genius. what amazed Hardy was Ramanujan's ability to make well informed guesses. His lack of elementary mathematics teaching was reflected in the proofs with shadowy impression for his formulas and theorems. Hardy tried to teach him some elementary mathematics but as Hard himself said He learnt more than him than he taught him. He was the mad mathematician in fond of mathematics. He was first Indian to be become Fellow of Royal College and Trinity College.
His health always had takes his lot of toil. Suffered from smallpox in his childhood and was the sole survivor in his village of this disease. In his last years developed a gastric ulcer and also developed tuberculosis which led him to not more than a bed ridden. But he never stopped playing with numbers. He returned to India but remained in contact with Hardy through letters. a famous incident '1729' when Ramanujan was sick and visited by Hardy. Hardy himself describes it as
I remember once going to see him when he was ill at Putney . I had ridden in taxi cab number 1729 and remarked that the number seemed to me rather a dull one , and that I hoped it was not an unfavorable omen . "No," he replied, "it is a very interesting number; it is the smallest number expressible as the sum of two cubes in two different ways."

Mathematicians are still searching for proofs for  theorem and significance of formulas given by him. His notebooks are like treasure with lot of cryptographic codes for most.
He always believed that like painter presents patterns and poet presents words in a harmonious way, in mathematics when numbers are presented in harmoniously makes it beautiful. There is no place for ugly mathematics.
Really it is apt to describe him as a man who knew infinity.

New Age Paint Brush

Creating new stuff is never exiting before. Now it’s very easy to create awesome stuff. With the availability of new technology on board including touch pads, tablets and various PC software, classic way of painting will get obsolete. On good thing about these software is they are actually economically as they provide us various tools to create stuff without investing any money into buying colours, pens, brushes. Also provide various ways to construct our thoughts and imagination into something awesome. Upcoming apps are much better than their grandfather MS Paint which was really boring. With the advent of Photoshop started playing their own photos and carve them into memorable and beautiful stuff, now we have iPad and galaxy note which comes with the S Pen which act as a brush, pen ,pencil, simply multifunctional tool which one can use to create something  like fashion designs. I love drawing and looking to such stuff in coming time so that I can create anything with my beloved finger without getting them mingled with colours and use them create Picasso like paintings.

Waiting for next IPad or Android ?

My 5 year brother asked me" Bro whats this android ?"One of the most difficult and simplest question of today's life.I got confused ,what to tell him whether android is a robot which was conceptualized in order to help the humane or its a mobile operating system on which making the man less mobile.Today our finger runs faster than our own installed Z1000 Trillion core processor installed between two ears and behind our precious eyes. Why i am putting sole android into the cage,we also have Great iPhone, the king of all phones.Persons possessing it are very eager to take out and if not want to be asked "which phone do you have?".
Ice cream , sandwich ,gingerbread does not mean watering mouth but flowing pockets and if you want the big boss iPhone kindly sell your trousers with these pockets and get a pajama. And also get prepared for the next most glamorous version.Don't think Nokia is spared but one should not comment on someone in their bad times.
I think we have only 24 hrs in a day which are sufficient for eat , greet , meet ,...........,and obviously sleep.Kindly don't compromise these to have some hands over  new app because all of them are just trying to copy human hence highest update they can get is the ultimate Human software showing you, imitating you but smarter than you and you will lose your existence. So go and watch yourself in mirror and observe the machine the god has created whose power is unparalleled.
Truly said by some great man that Technology makes us less humane.
Oh!!!!Lets get back to my brother question that whats this android.I answered" Bro its nothing but the way to remember counting Android 1 , Android 2 , Android 3 ,Android 4...................Lets Revise."

NOKIA ON DOWN SLIDESHOW

Title must be misleading but i am a big fan Nokia phones.Just i am concerned about market place in the world. There was the time when they were the leader of the mobile phone market worldwide but now it is being replaced by Apple and Samsung in smartphone market.Still they are leader in the basic phone market specially in India but i think they will soon this spot to the Samsung and other mobile manufacturing companies.
I think Nokia needs a complete makeover and bring a different phone which is somewhat diffrent frome other.
The thing which goes against Nokia is its static attitude. They just resist to change. They must try to retain their customers which htey alredy have even those using basic phones running on S40 and should give regular updates to the other symbian versions.

I think there is lot of potential in Nokia and Microsoft partnership and they revolutionize what we call smartphone to something geniephone which can do anything but with style.
